Labor lies on Berwick College funding- $1.25 million funding shortfall
Today’s State Budget has unveiled new lows for Labor.
Announcing funding for Berwick College’s Health and Wellbeing Centre last month, Member for Narre Warren South Judith Graley posed for photos with students and staff and promised funding would be delivered in this budget.
Today’s budget papers revealed only $50,000 for the Berwick College Health and Wellbeing Centre and a possible completion date of 2021.
Students have already been forced to wait for more than four years after Daniel Andrews cut the previous Coalition Government’s 2014 commitment to the Centre and youth mental health.
This funding shortfall means they will be waiting even longer.
Only a Liberal Guy Government will fully fund and deliver the Berwick College Health and Wellbeing Centre.
Quotes attributed to Brad Battin MP–State Member for Gembrook
“It is a disgrace the Andrew’s Labor Government went to Berwick College, posed for a photo and told staff and students the much needed Health and Wellbeing Centre would be funded in the next budget, to today discover only $50,000 has been set aside by Daniel Andrews- another Labor lie.”
