Liberal Nationals to upgrade Pakenham Secondary College
The Liberal Nationals are committed to ensuring our schools receive the very best educational facilities in our suburbs to ease the local population squeeze.
That’s why an elected Liberal Nationals Government will commit $7 million to replace the administration and Year 7 wing, as general upgrades at Pakenham Secondary College.
Pakenham Secondary College is an outstanding local school but an upgrade is long overdue, with many of the wings being untouched since the school opened 50 years ago.
Despite the lack of modern facilities, Pakenham Secondary College has continued to grow and provide high quality education opportunities for local families.
Labor has been in government in Victoria for 15 of the last 19 years, and has failed to provide for the school’s needs.
By investing in upgrades at Pakenham Secondary College, locals can start to get some relief from the population squeeze.
Only the Liberal Nationals will get back in control of population growth and back Pakenham Secondary College, so that the children will get the very best education.
Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Education, Tim Smith:
“Out of control population growth caused by the Andrews Labor Government’s lack of planning is placing enormous pressure on our schools.
The Liberal Nationals have a plan to get back in control of education and ease the population squeeze.
The students, teachers and families of Pakenham Secondary College deserve modern facilities and only a Liberal Nationals Government will make this happen.”
Comments attributable to Member for Bass, Brian Paynter:
“I am passionate about quality public education, and the students at Pakenham Secondary College deserve the best facilities.
I’m delighted that if a Liberal Nationals Government is elected at this year’s state election, we will invest $7 million to upgrade Pakenham Secondary College.”
