The Annual Report also shows that there has been a $24.4 million increase in employee costs but only 95 new paid firefighters in 12 months.

Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Emergency Services, Brad Battin:
“Thousands of volunteer firefighters are walking away from the CFA under the Andrews Labor Government.
Daniel Andrews is putting Victorians’ safety at risk; his war with the CFA has seen 10% of our volunteers leave.
Around 3,749 volunteers have left the CFA during the Andrews Labor Government’s war with CFA volunteers.
As Daniel Andrews continues to play with fire, he puts all Victorians at greater risk this fire season.”
