About Brad

Me at home

My family is what drives me everyday to support you and make our community a better place. I have lived in Casey and Cardinia for nearly all my life. I married my high school sweetheart Jo in 1999 and we proudly raise our two daughters Mikaela and Chloe in Berwick.

My time in Parliament

My priority remains and always will remain to support the communities who elected me.

My previous life

My career has taken me on a journey of which I have learned so much from. My time as a Police Officer was a career highlight. However, time working with young people, as a prison officer, in retail and running a small business gave me a great background to understanding and representing my community.

Young Brad

I am the third child of Joan and Philip Battin, I was lucky to have two loving parents who wanted the best for their children. Dad worked 6 days a week in sales and Mum worked at Heinz in Dandenong while raising three active kids. We were taught the value of hard work and commitment to family.

Young Brad continued...

I attended Harkaway Primary School and Berwick College and I was not what teachers would call studious. I left school at age 15 and started working full time at McDonalds¬† before a job offer at Panther’s Mensland with local icon Harry Hutchinson.¬†
