Lives lost as Labor dithers

Date

The Andrews Labor Government continues to fail the most basic test: making sure lifesaving ambulances turn up when Victorians call Triple Zero.

More revelations of the tragic cost of Labor’s mismanagement show the terrible toll it has taken.

Shadow Minister for Emergency Services Brad Battin said the latest cases show the Andrews Government is not fit to serve the people of Victoria.

“This is the result of years of mismanagement.”

“For years, including during COVID, Daniel Andrews and Labor have cut funding and staff of Triple Zero phone operators. The Premiers own reports highlight a cut in staff to answer emergency calls.”

“To now say it will take 18 months to 2 years to fix simply isn’t good enough.”

“These tragedies have occurred on Labor’s watch.”

“They could have been avoided.”

Mr Battin said the only way Victorians can have faith in fixing the Triple Zero crisis was to change the government in November.
