Think local when buying a drop.

It’s never been more important to ‘Think Local. Support Local’.
Liberal State Member for Gembrook Brad Battin MP headed to D’Angelo’s winery in Officer to speak with owner Benny D’Angelo about the importance of supporting local produce.
“We are fortunate in Casey and Cardinia to have access to some great local produce, especially wine” explained Brad Battin MP
“Not only does Benny and Sabrina provide a family-friendly venue for people to meet but they produce some outstanding wines and provide employment to many locals”
Previously being a small businesses owner Brad understands the daily struggles and hard work required to run a small business in normal circumstances, let alone during a pandemic.
With businesses now facing tight restrictions for some time, he wants to highlight the importance of thinking and supporting local.
“I encourage everyone when needing to hire a service, meet with family and friends at a venue or even when buying a bottle of wine to think local and support our community,” Brad said.
“Benny has everything you need from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir to Sab’s Shiraz, all produced in the heart of Officer”.
Benny’s wines will be on full display in an up and coming video series hosted by Brad, showcasing the food and wine the Casey and Cardinia region has to offer.
“Our local community has amazing food and wine, and I hope my upcoming series showcases the best our region has to offer.”
D’Angelo’s winery will be the first to feature in Brad’s ‘Think Local, Support Local’ food, wine and beer series that will launch on his social media channels later this month.
Any local business in the region that would like to take part in Brad’s ‘Think Local. Support Local’ campaign is encouraged to contact his office.
